The first PPV campaign spy tool has just hit the market. It’s call PPVSpy. That means that you can spy on the competition, see offers, landing pages, and targets. Whether you like it or not, this was bound to happen and Bevo Media is the first company to do it.
Then we can have a large debate in the comments over whether this is a godsend or the end of PPV marketing as we know it.
Now he is allowing you to take your domain off of the SPY, so that’s good.
Yup, i agree. Good move Ryan. 🙂
Good move? LOL.
If people are stupid enough to give him URL’s to their landers then they deserve what they get. The “opt-out” is a joke.
Actually, the opt-out thing is a huge disadvantage of the tool. it will end up spying on only some uninteresting campaigns.
Release the whole thing without optouts, or don’t release it at all.
If you think about it though, only people with landing pages can opt out. Anybody direct linking will not be able to opt out because it’s not their domain.
saw the vid,
I guess the info was out there already; you could simply download those toolbars, etc and start hitting urls.
this tool just makes it a hell lot faster/easier to do it
This is totally an awesome move by Bevo Media. The grand scheme of things is that people who don’t like it are far and between, and really dont matter in the end in comparison to the entire market. Josh you hit it right on the head. This was going to come out eventually. Proves why Bevo is one of the best in the biz for doing it first!
imkazu, what toolbars are you referring to?
It will all come down to who can pay the most, probably in all the marketing industries. being good at what you do and having a great lp or ctr will not be enough.
